Building bridges through research, education, music and human connection.
Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation Spokesperson
2013-2015
As a brain cancer survivor, this is an area of advocacy that is extremely important to me. Especially with brain tumors/brain cancer being one of the most underfunded cancer research areas, I will always find a time and place to speak up.

Leadership
To me, leadership is about service, not titles. I believe in listening deeply, creating space for others to grow, and guiding with empathy. Strong leadership means building projects, programs, and spaces in general where people feel welcomes, supported, and open to sharing.

Project Leadership
Erlanger: Best For All
The TIPQC Best for All Program is a statewide quality improvement initiative in Tennessee that recognizes hospitals committed to advancing maternal and infant health.
BFA focuses on Health Equity and under my leadership, Erlanger East was recognized as the top performing hospital in all of Tennessee in Health Equity education and patient response improvement.
Project Leadership
Erlanger: Best For All
Created and led doctor, nurse, and technician education on health equity. Taught 37 classes to 210 nurses, 97 technicians, and 17 doctors in Women's Health and Neonatal Health.

Position Creation
Grant Coordinator Position
After 5 years of experience building programs and positions from the ground up, I was asked to join the Erlanger Women's Health team to create the position of Grant Coordinator. Within this role, I was an educator, a data analyst, a grant accountant, a grant writer, an spokesperson and a health equity leader. I worked with Human Resources, Accounting, Learning & Development, Nurse Managers, the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, and external stakeholders to ensure the Perinatal grant remained up-to-date, and provided resources for families in Southeast Tennessee, North Georgia, Western Carolina & North Alabama.
Program Creation
Children's English Education Program
After working my way up from an educator to a projects manager, I took on the project of creating a totally new program for Meet2Talk. With my passion for education and experience with children, I built a team of over 50 educators both online and in-person, created interactive education modules, and managed all social media marketing for the new program. It is probably one of the things I am most proud of.
